Julie Spate, secretary
is a daughter of missionaries and a former missionary herself. Educated in communications and public relations, she has worked in Christian ministry almost her entire career. She currently is working at The Refuge, as the administrative assistant to Thom Hord. She also is there during the day to help with the day to day operations and has a passion for this ministry.

Ron Runyon, Treasurer
Education includes bachelor of arts degree in business administration and master of science degree in business management. Retired Colonel, US Army, with 40 years of service to country; extensive experience in executive management, personnel management , financial management, organizational and business strategy development , internal controls, and community support. Currently serving the Lord as the Business Administrator, Community Church of Greenwood.

James & Kerry Beasley
James' education includes a Bachelors from IUPUI, he currently works as a manager at Baldwin and Lyons in the IT unit. He has a passion for youth and enjoys helping people.
Kerry's education includes Associates Degree in business management. She is currently an administrative assistant at Community Church of Greenwood with student ministries. She has a passion to help people and is committed to this community. Her prayer is that through The Refuge, she is able to physically, emotionally, and spiritually be available to anybody that might need someone.

David "Mark" Bowell
For twenty five years, Mark Bowell has established himself as a leader in management, sales and marketing. Currently, he serves as Sales Manager for Maxim Cranes Works with responsibilities throughout the southeast United States for this national leader in the construction industry. Also, he is owner of DMB Marketing and Management, Inc.
A 1985 graduate of Taylor University and married father of two, Bowell is an active member of his community serving on the Boards of 21st Century Schools (Chairman – Fall Creek and Fountain Square Academies), The Refuge, Institute for Learning Dynamics, People Helping People, Inc., Indianapolis 500 Gordon Pipers and Flashes Football Foundation. He provides leadership as Parade Director of the annual Miracle Mile Parade and serves on leadership committees for the Indiana Construction Association and the Indianapolis 500 Festival Parade. The Bowell’s attend Indiana Creek Christian Church.

Sally Runyon

More than 35 years of experience in corporate recruiting, administration, communications, event planning, and human resources; active servant volunteer for church and community. Currently employed by Eli Lilly and Company.

Mark Slauter
Mark is a retired Engineering Manager with AT&T. He has a passion for helping those less fortunate who are hurting spiritually or physically. He is an Elder and serves on the Mission Team of his church. Mark has experienced mission trips to Mexico, Honduras, Ecuador, Ethiopia and New Orleans. Mark and his wife Marge have 2 grown sons and 5 grandchildren.

Bill Spate
A former missionary as well in Ecuador, Canada and the US. He has worked extensively with Christian laymen through the years and in the construction business. Bill has owned his own business for the last 13 years and is currently in business with his son.

Jeff and Lora Wilson
Own a farm east of Whiteland, Indiana. Jeff has carried on a family tradition since his grandfather. They have 1200 sows, corn and soybeans. Lora has a background in financial accounting working for nine years with their local school corporation in payroll and accounts payable. A heart for missions has led them on mission trips including Taiwan, Haiti, and New Orleans. They have two teenager daughters.
